Digital SLR Review

When I bought my first Canon Digital Rebel, I spent more time working on lens choice as I have done well to buy a Canon or a Nikon. And believe me, there are many, many lenses to choose from.Here 's my take on the choice of the target. If you have a lot of money, get different lenses to cover the wide range of shooting options. You will need a wide angle for landscapes, the medium-range things like portraits and street scenes, and a telephoto lens to capture distant objects. Oh, and you can also get a dedicated macro lens to shoot the flowers delicate and butterflies.

Once again, if money is no object, definitely get Canon "L" lenses. They are the Cadillac of Canon lenses. The 'L' lens is glass and the very best technology Canon has to offer.However if you're on a budget, you want to consider getting a lens that covers a multitude of photographic situations. There are some excellent choices for general "around" lens, and not all are made by Canon. Tamron and Sigma make lenses for Canon and other brands of cameras, and have some big goals, too.

Here is a short list of choices of great walk around lens : Tamron AF 28-75mm F2.8 XR Di Zoom – this is a great lens if you intend to take a lot of family photos. The zoom range is a bit 'limited, but the image quality is excellent. You can obtain a length of just over 75 mm 55mm kit with you, even if there is a bit 'off the end 28 mm compared to the 18mm lens kit. You also f / 2.8, which means super fast shutter speed in normal situations and better pictures in low light conditions, because the lens allows more light to strike the sensor.

This is a nice walk around lens, giving very good image quality and a zoom range large enough (approximately 5x). autofocus is extremely fast, and IS (image stabilization) is very useful especially in conditions of poor light when the shutter speed slows down to compensate for the light. You can do without a tripod in most cases due to the IS.
